Over 25 remarkable years, the Indian Dance Festival has become one of Colorado's most cherished cultural celebrations. Rooted in the Sanskrit word Samāgata (समागत) — meaning "come together" — this year's theme celebrates the beautiful idea that dance transcends all boundaries of language, geography, and tradition.
Through captivating performances spanning classical, folk, and contemporary styles from across India, IDF 2026 will showcase how the universal language of dance dissolves barriers and creates a space where every tradition finds its voice.

"Stories That Shaped Us"
A landmark 25th anniversary celebration honoring India's timeless epics and mythological narratives through classical and contemporary dance forms. Itihāsa brought together over 200 performers across 15 dance styles, making it one of Colorado's largest Indian cultural showcases.
