Kerala is grappling with the devastation caused by multiple landslides and flash floods, which have claimed over 100 lives, injured many more, and destroyed human habitats in several areas, including Mundakkai, Wayanad, on July 30, 2024.

The calamity, triggered by torrential rains, has resulted in a heartbreaking loss of approximate 300 lives, with many more feared to be trapped under the rubble. The disaster struck without warning, catching most residents off guard as they slept.
