KALA 2025 Day 2

KALA Rules:

• Participation is open to KAOC members only. Membership will be verified at the time of registration. Purchase membership from KAOC Membership 2025
• Age Eligibility: 3 to 12 years (as of March 1, 2025).

KALA Talent:

• Classical and Non-Classical Singing: For the classical singing category, participants are permitted to bring an electronic Tanpura (machine or app). In the Non-Classical Singing category, karaoke is allowed, and participants must provide their own karaoke music as needed. Maximum grace of 10 secs will be given for participants to finish their song.
• Classical and Non-Classical Dancing: Appropriate costumes matching the style of dance are required. 
• Storytelling: Participants should choose engaging, age-appropriate stories with clear morals or lessons. Simple props are allowed; no stage setup is permitted.
• Fancy Dress: Participants can speak briefly in character. Performances should be under 1 minute. Props worn are allowed; no stage setup permitted. There is no theme for 3yrs – 4yrs. Theme for 5yrs – 8yrs: Indian Movie Characters. 
• The event will commence promptly at the time specified in the confirmation email. Participants must be checked in at the start of their performance category to perform.
• Please note that there is no separate green room available for preparation. It is advisable to arrive fully dressed in your costume for the performance. Additionally, avoid using hand color/Alta or any material that may transfer.
• To keep performances enjoyable, repeat songs will be limited. Priority is based on registration order and participants will be notified promptly.
