Event(s): Competitive Talent Show (Dance, Music, and Storytelling)
When – March 2nd, 2024 11 AM – 7 PM
Where – Performing Arts Academy, 5690 County Line Place, Highlands Ranch, CO 80126
Check-in – Check-in starts at 11AM. All participants must be checked in by 11:30 AM.

Non-classical Music (5-8 age group)
Storytelling (5-8 age group)
Classical Music (5-8 age group)
Non-classical dance (5-8 age group)
Non-classical music (9-12 age group)
Storytelling (9-12 age group)
Classical Music (9-12 age group)
Non-classical dance (9-12 age group)

Please note that Classical Dance and Classical Music for the 5-8 age group is a Non-Competitive event.

Before the Event !!!

• – Dance: Please submit the audio file by Feb 19th, 2024 using this link. File name must be the full name of the participant.
• – Music: Please submit the name and details of the song by Feb 19th, 2024 using this link.
• – Storytelling: Please submit the name and details of the story by Feb 19th, 2024 using this link.

Guidelines:

1. Performances must be solo.
2. Age – Participants between the ages of 5 and 12 as of October 1st,2023, will be divided into two age groups: 5 to 8 and 9 to 12.
3. Duration – The maximum time duration for each performance is 4 minutes.
4. Additional Information
   1. The first event is Classical dance. So, please ensure that participants arrive in their full costume for their performance. Also, please avoid hand color/ulta.
   2. Classical Music participants are allowed to bring an electronic Tanpura (Machine/App).
   3. Non-Classical Music: The use of Karaoke is not permitted.
5. Judging Criteria (including but not limited to)
   1. Classical Dance: Costume, Abhinaya, Nritta, Taal, Overall Performance
   2. Non-Classical Dance: Costume, Expressions, Clarity of Movements, Taal, Overall Performance
   3. Classical Music: Shruti, Svara, Raaga, Taal, Composition, Overall Performance
   4. Non-Classical Music: Shruti, Taal, Overall Performance
   5. Storytelling: Engaging Story, Poise and stage presence, Voice projection, enunciation, and expression, Overall Performance
6. The decision of the judges will be final and irrevocable.
